The majestic Nordic Knot Cilindro Lamp collection from premium Czech lighting brand Brokis combines two different materials and principles – the softness of the rounded curves of transparent handblown glass and the strict austerity of the coarse rope finished with a knot. The result is a striking and straightforward design with full shapes penetrated by a sturdy rope that seemingly draws the lower part of the glass inwards, creating a plastic impression. The light source is elegantly hidden in the top mount and protected from below by opal glass.

The design combines coarse natural fibre with smooth, transparent blown glass to arouse a contrast as striking as it is dignified.

Full-bodied globes of varying shapes and sizes are penetrated by robust cords that seemingly pull the bottom of the glass inward for a bemusing plastic effect.
